Just about all the threads are dead, and I'm not sure if I'm casting "Animate Dead" or "Ressurect" or "Noble Sacrifice", but I'm trying and that's what counts. Right?
I got a friend of mine to play UO on my account, and he liked it. Though, I couldn't pay for the accounts to stay active after I became homeless, but after I have a place to live again physically I look forward to being able to reactivate my other account and let my friend play on there, and other friends, to get a feel of the game then make thier own accounts. There's so few people playing UO anymore, that we have to get new gamers into the game!
Get some fresh blood. 99% of current players are dusty, ancient veterans like I am, or so it seems. Get your friends, get your family, beat up some random person walking down the street and kidnap them and force them to play UO until they like it. Just get new and more people to play.
That's what we have to do! We do that, then getting some of those people to become UTB wouldn't be that hard, I wouldn't think. At least not comparitively.
It's not always that easy, we can pick up a few here and there that way, and I've done so recently , but you have to realize UTB is viewed based on one of two opinions by a majority of Chessy now.
You have those that view us and have always done so as "Snooty" because we are selective on recruitment, you know they have to be a Tamer and all that, and the Second view was largely firmly tossed on us by our departed Guild Leader, Trinity North by verbally bashing half the guild not only on our own forums, but on UO Forums, and Stratics Chesapeake forums. All in all the name of UTB is pretty much MUD to anyone who really doesn't know us.
There is some hope though, I've heard it mentioned among our alliance that it wouldn't hurt for some of them to shift a tamer over to UTB, get our numbers up a bit. RBG is a good group, I know many of them and they will look out for us, just as I hope we try and look out for them.
