I'm going to start a series of Guides here on how to tackle the various Peerless Bosses.  Some of us have never been to a peerless and as we get new players in from time to time this will be excellent information on how to tackle them.

   Seriously though, we did a Mel run the other night with a few people that had never gone...it was almost a total disaster...so I thought I'd work on a little education.

Yeah, I'm surprised at how bad Mel can go with inexperienced people, especially when they totally ignore the advice you give them before hand.  Travesty used to go terrible for us back in the day (before greater drags).  I remember one time we were all dead in the top somewhere and thankfully someone had self-res and was able to res us all.  What a fun night that was (seriously though we didn't get angry or anything, just laughed at how bad we were doing, do you remember this night Vol?).  Its a very good idea, especially for tamers, to work up certain virtues, so you might want to include a bit about where those come in handy, Nex.

In all honesty I knew that some of those that went with us had never done a peerless in their lives and I didnt spend the 5 minutes necessary to explain about the Saytrs (Just wasnt thinking at the time). We did fine once they were dead.

Yea but with a Listed Guide of good tips here we can arrange hunts on the forums ahead of time, and link to the info here for people who aren't familiar with them.

I just remembered this, you might want to also highlight that bringing blackrock to these is not the greatest of ideas... (speaking from several instances of personal experience with others who brought it).

I don't carry blackrock. BUT I have to very infected characters. They don't need to carry it to infect stuff.

No, Therianis isn't one of them. Ryo-Ohki and Hinotori are infected though.

I suppose I did ok after the first 20 minutes of not knowing it was our own names in grey that I needed to target. No wonder my pet wasn't attacking. I thought since I couldn't see any mobs that blood was the mob. Fecking unreal. Had no idea that blood spatter would show when you hit ctrl/shift.

Yea. A guide would have been most useful but who would have known I could be such a noob

I've been attempting to figure out the programming behind the different infection methods, and wrote a report on what I found already (lored everything Scavenger infected and recorded it to see differences) and although the beserker's scythe does have the ability to infect, my paladin almost destroyed the scythe (8/255) and only infected one creature. If you let us know exactly where you'll put the guides, I'll put a blackrock one up.
